I am sooo not responsible anymore........

It is now official I am no longer legally responsible for my children. As of today (December 2nd) all three of our kids are age twenty-one or older.

My wife and I celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary back in August and have know each other for almost 29 years now. We love our (3) kids and (5)grandkids very much and would still do anything in the world for them.

There is just something about them all being twenty-one or older that seems to be a milestone of sorts that requires a celebration independant of the birthday party.

Our oldest son also celebrates his 6th wedding anniversary today. He is married to a wonderful girl. They both have good paying jobs and two children. Our daughter is a certified Beautician with (3) children and is actively working on opening her own salon. Our youngest, (the birthday boy) is currently studying Micro-Computer Technologies in college. (ed ... Yes he still lives at home, but we prefer it. He looks after the animals when we travel)

We are proud of our children and the decisions they are making for themselves. It has given me great pleasure to be a part of their lives and celebrate their accomplishments with them and to the person they could come to for advice when they experienced the normal setbacks of growing up.

I love them with all my heart, but I am sooooooo not responsible anymore.. Now when I do things for all or any of them it will because I can, not because I have too..

Why I am reminded of Dr. Kings quote; Free at last, free at last, thank God almighty free at last ?????????
